Learn, in a two hour session, how to do everything, from copy reading, through publicity to sales, and the delights of that second edition.

The using the ancient show
In a 2 hour talk Widsith and Deor theatrical story tellers perform both their favourite pieces from Porlock the Warlock, and also many of the ancient texts that inspired them. These include not only the first (tenth century) rap, but also Viking tales of ghosts and and elves, and the original Sumerian flood story.

The writing and science workshop
In a two hour (or half day) workshop, try your hand at using ancient texts to write modern novels yourself. Widsith and Deor will bring in a variety of contrasting texts, from many different times and places, and show you how they can be used to construct stories, which are sometimes humourous, at other times haunting, but always have something of the vividness of the ancient oral work infusing them.
In a half day workshop the theme is expanded to include ancient science and maths.
