Gwavas Community Project
Melina Hubbard ran a series of workshops aimed at building living willow constructions as part of the Gwavas Community project (January -March 08). The constructions included a living arch, a corral, and a dome, and were built to last. In addition 20 trees were planted on the site, with the aid of the local community.
She also organized workshops in graffiti art , and designed the living willow to include spray paint images. The aim of the project was to open a historically disadvantaged area to new skills and ideas.
