The Boat is make from Welsh Oak, and was built off site by Jo Barlow and Ben Duckworth in Woodhouse Wood (of wild@art). Jo designed it by taking into account the living trees (which he had felled). The exact shape and form of the boat reflects the shape of the oaks that made it. Once designed the boat was constructed on the site by Wayne Critchley.
It has a climbing frame, genuine poop and main deck and a mast, but also lots of secret hide-outs. Just what any aspiring pirate needs.
