Willow workshops can involve making a range of items, - for example, currently very popular are fairy wings and swords workshops for all ages (though especially enjoyed by children and their families). The wings are decorated with scrap fabric to each person’s own design, sometimes with startling results! So each design is unique. Once built, the wings can be tied on to the back of the workshopper .
These workshops are ideal for all sorts of settings from music festivals to arts festivals to green fayres and family fun days and also mean that participants can spend the rest of the day in part fancy dress, so adding to the atmosphere of the event, as they wander around in colourful wings or brandishing striking but harmless willow swords.
For Valentine’s events, willow heart workshops are available – design your own heart, and then even write a message inside on coloured paper if desired. Or for Halloween – miniature broomstick making workshop!
