Meum et Teum a catechism
I)It is a perennial question: What is it to have money/ Who is the own that really owns it? The answer is simple enough – is the unloved child of privilege and debt. The privilege guarantees, while the debt ensures the exchange: the queen and the city.
II)But then what is money? More is sequence of muffled answers as un responses. It lights up the eye, with apparent information, but never really replies. Or better frankly says that it has not reply to give. It does not answer – it must not respond. To respond would be to break the only piece of power that it has. Money is after all aware that it is not gold. It does not glitter. It has not in to display. It has nothing of its own, save its secret. It is then the secret of its that allows its reality. The secret it will keep, however bullied.
III) But where is money- if not is flashiness. What makes money is not flash so much as debt, and care. Money is that we can all take care of and yet bequeath. Our care is therefore no longer a thing about health. Its aim is rather to leave that which we did upon the world. we care for ourselves and in caring register what we are to everyone else. Our meaness is also a badge of our identity. However at the same time, debt haunts those who would not take care. My care can even allow your debt. I watch what I spend, and a I lend to you, as I screw you. Money therefore exists in pitching the meum and teum into the world. that is an axis in which elements become split. Me and you and what we own become thence a system for exchange, a system where what I own and what you are need to feed of each other. He cannot stand alone, and one of us but owe the other…
IV)But then how doe one control money if it is so close? One cannot directly control the stuff f money. Merely to allow it is enough to give it the control. All one can do is to dominate it. That is with fear or impact one can ensure that money responds as it should; One can therefore ensure that it pays it de of politeness. Money is therefore only indirectly controlled. Never directly. One looks after pennies to look after pounds. One exhorts other things to ensure sales. Money cannot be jumped on directly.
V)But then how will money directly manifests itself? The secret of money lies in the fact that it cannot be directly used or spent.. One cannot know who has ever owned it. It public face must therefore be other than its private reality. One might therefore think one was in the presence of the one with the money- but the real agencies are always elsewhere although perhaps they stand also at ones shoulder). The agencies that drive money are then always invisible partners – partners who might by anywhere even also here one the less. Money is the therefore always watching, and yet can only harbour a presence in something else (paper, figures or perhaps a lender). It presence, it ability to transcend a reality is therefore caught up in a borrow that cannot be grasped. Money is therefore always in a sense about looking to debt elsewhere, and hidden partners (who promise in the silent unpresence to make the money real).
VI)But finally is anyone immune from LSD? The answer is as far a money is concerned no. Everyone must buy and sell, even crippled children and beautiful women. Money is always and everywhere about buying and selling, and about ensuring one gets ones money’s worth. It let a chink of compassion in the entire edifice would collapse.
