Liz Tyrrell can show you how to make a giant out of withies and tissue paper. Create fantastic creatures and characters, bizarre buildings or vehicles, or something yet to be imagined.
Giants can be carryable, sometimes taking the form of wearable puppets, suitable for processions, carnivals, festivals, theatre sets or using as part of a performance. They may also be used as static sculptures as site art or for decorating halls, marquees and venues.
Small carryable objects or wearable sculpture can co-ordinate with the giant and develop a theme.
Building a giant with impact, that’s beautifully decorated and structurally sound takes four days to two weeks with a group, but smaller, simpler objects can be achieved in less time.
Giant making is suitable for 7 year olds to adults.
Liz also makes giants to commission.
