This Boat was built over a weekend at the  Holifair , Gweek , Aug 8-10, 2008. It is made of Withy and ribbons, with upright poles fitted in the earth, mapping out the basic boat frame. Children tied up the withies in bundles,and then weave them across the upright poles , gradually building up the boat form. They are are free to come and go as they choose. They can therefore help at different times, or just come back to see how the project is getting on! And once the boat is finished they area also free to play in it.
