Bringing HIM in.


The last essay ended with a challenge..how does one understand what it is to be caught up in an affect without owning it.


One the one hand one is clearly a drunkard or drug addict: A man without sense or reason.

But what  if many people do it?

What then?

What s the affect of being an affects effect?

Firstly actions always fall from the blue. Britannia or any other God acts. This action falls then of the mind as if they were fate.

And yet the wierdest of fate.

It might be the case that what will happen, what sweeps one along falls from outside, but how one then response to it- how one rallies ones forces to be a part of it (without owning it), is a different thing again. And affect falls on a group of people as the demand from action. However if none of the them want in any sense to own that action, then this action is a mere stage managed affair. A sequence of small individual actions, which refract the affect without ever fully encompassing it.

Britannia wants a Vennerring – and his friends ‘rally round’  but either doing what they would always do, but doing it with renewed energy, and in his name  (and with his money).

The first act of the affect sees then it al upon the normal. It merely speeds up the normal.

It turns normality into apparent hard work.

It makes what appeared straight forward tricky and complex.

It might change many things (or at least should do0 but it never starts that way.

Affects are set within custom. They fall upon a custom.

But then tweak it. If I am in the service of another-  what appeared to me to be normal and everyday becomes suddenly significant- infused with the glow of something else.

This leads to a point of brake.

One needs in ones cups to register the affect – the difference. But if on is till not owning it as a passion (the actual passion has already happened is already  paid for elsewhere), the problem then becomes how. How des one allow for a difference one feels but cannot get a handle on.

Something has happened – is  having an effect (which is as yet secret) so what can be done?

What can one do – but look on: that is to see how things look.

Sight is here an odd bridge.

Looking might not change anything itself. Fate (and money) had done that. But the look looks to a future.

The act of looking therefore illustrates what has changed.

It registers the affect – that is the moment when a new current into the future is born.

How after all can one respond to something of the future if one will not own it-  but be action manically as one always has, and then looking on as the storm fire of the future fills into the world.

What is the fire but such a storm.

A point of erupting?

Destiny is that which we watch in silence.

It is that which is a once registered I what we are doing now (anything and everything is fate: It is known only after the event. We are what gives it – we are ourselves within it: it merely then adds an exhaustion to what we are- we do it in another name).

Or alternatively How does one herald a future, but by quietly looking on to that one will be or will join?

One throws out branches into the future. One watches and await as it.

No action really happens but an affect is allowed (if not owed).


But then what how in order to qualify for such a future should one appear to or for  others?

How can one be qualify for a future, and have others allow for that fact?

Be better what two qualities should  allow others to accept ht one has a right to the affect – to the place the affect sweeps one to?

Responsibility will the be stripped down into two aspects.

On the one hand there is insurance. That is the principle that the future will be in mine with (and according to the investiment) or the present. What will happen will be forced (one way or other) to behave itself.

  Individuals should therefore expect to pay in the present to ensure the future remains respectable. Custom itself therefore assumes that whatever happens it will modify itself to restrict futures that will be. They will remain in the wide scheme of things presentable.

They will remain therefore in keeping (and will not make the young person blush).

The future might itself b hidden – but its affects will be minimal. One offers therefore change, but such change as the world of custom will already have devoured.

Society engorges itself on fate. It claims always to be enough to eat it.

It is so because society whether poor or rich is united by the second greater qualifier for the future – a lack of agenda.

This lack is nothing accidental. It is real,

Any proposal would always be attacked (and attacked by everyone one).

The future is not like that we would say, the minute the that materializes.

One need therefore always promise not to govern from the position of policies of futures that will be, but rather in the absence of the possibility of manifestos (an absence that will be forced upon one way or other, as fulfilling manifesto promises is never quite what it seems anyway).

The future therefore promises that it is what ought not to be forecast ) so long as everyone understands that whatever it is, it will fit in with what has been, and will appear to grown out of it; a future might be up or down, but it will always get in anyway.

Is it ensured (elsewhere).

What matters is the form in which one ensures it in the mind.

Destiny or fate – the power of the having been to include how it will be, is therefore thrust into a mind at the pot an affect is allowed for but never owned.

One does not therefore jump into its future, but rather merely splits it.

One the on hand the future becomes merely the empty promise, and the blank witness. One cannot change what will be – one need then only to attentive towards what one will become, and open to the coming (one needs not be bound by promises that will be attacked from all sides). One must then allow futures to come up.

But one does this safe I the knowledge that this future will with undue haste be translated into a crypto past. That is is will be allowed for in custom (which watched it), and insured for in taxes (which minimised its effect.

The future need therefore not really worry us.

We will ensures our pas I such that it will encompass what will be. It will allow for it. I will make it as real.

We can become smug under the arch of destiny – ensured that what will be will be alright.

Affects thereby loose their terror. The mere fact that they are between people ransom them to the collective desire by those people to create structures capable of digesting them, and robbing them of their corrosive energy.

Together in the name of custom, we can ignore affects. We do not have to worry about each other too much  therefore. We do not have to feel another is buggering up our mind – is only we subscribe to custom and society. That is it is only we let our being to created by those social structures with register in their extreme state the effect of all the yours on a me.

If we are a creature of society then we will be fine.

We will function in the light of the social, and all it offers to a min: we will ensure in that social all affects are held and had respectable.

What price individuality if it is overwhelmed in the affect? Ah price originality if it disrupt, and places up in an impossible game of me or you. Better be a creature of society, and ensured come what may of ones place and status.

That at least is respectable.

If ultimately troublesome to the inoffensive man.
