                                              Indictment of the Month

Three hundred and sixty one years

After we executed the King,

On a day in late January,

Starts the enquiry into

What the hell Blair thought

He was doing in Iraq.

Here we go again.

So many want to se him

Hang, see the enquiry as a

Gladiatorial affair, a latter day

Throwing to the lions.

If we could cut his head off

We would, but we don’t do

That anymore.

Because Charles the First

Didn’t do things kings didn’t do

Or hadn’t done. What he did

Was to make out everything was

His divine right, it was God that

Worked through him, so to God

He had to justify himself, not

Parliament, not anyone else.

So it was off with his head.

And Blair, why we are doing this,

Is because he never justified his

Actions to the people, to us,

Hardly to the Cabinet, his colleagues,

But only really to his idea of God.

And that’s what gets this country’s

Goat. Say ‘God told me to do it’

And we say ‘Alright sonny,

You’re a loony, where’s our axe?’
